Come see our exhibition in London! Echoing Whispers: Treasury of Vietnamese Folk Tales

Major Books, in partnership with Museum of the Home, is very proud to present Echoing Whispers: A Treasury of Vietnamese Folk Tales.

This new exhibition unfolds 11 Vietnamese folktales compiled by the country’s foremost folklorist, Nguyễn Đổng Chi, reimagined through 50+ original paintings of award-winning illustrator Jeet Zdũng, featured in our publication Treasury of Vietnamese Folk Tales: Volume 1.
Rich in colour and texture, his works draw inspiration from traditional Vietnamese art forms such as lacquer painting, mother-of-pearl inlay, and Đông Hồ woodblock prints. We invite visitors into a richly layered world where the everyday meets the mystical, and where storytelling becomes a shared, living connection to past and present.

Alongside the exhibition, we are holding a series of talks and artist-led workshops exploring folklore, women in storytelling, translation, and creative practice.
